Hangar Building
By the end of this week, the concrete will be poured for the first section of structural footing.
Buildings 14/16 Breezeway (a.k.a. East Breezeway)
The concrete has been poured for the lateral block wall footing on the south side. This will provide interior wall space and support the breezeway. |

Hangar Building
The trench work is completed and concrete will be poured for the structural footing when the heavy rain subsides.

The concrete footing and interior structural footings have been poured. Block walls are scheduled to be added laterally on each side of the Breezeway.
New Administration Building
The fencing and trees have been removed. The site has been officially turned over to Weeger Bros., the approved contractor, who will survey elevations and building points. |

The utility infrastructure and the final site grading are in place. Next crews will dig and pour the buildings structural footings.

Weather permitting, concrete will be poured this weekend for the balance structural footings. Some 120 yards of concrete will eventually be poured upon completion of the Span.
New Administration Building (New)
The approved contractor, Weeger Bros., will break ground next week.
Miscellaneous: Remodeling of the standalone bathroom in Park Plaza is slated to be completed mid-January. |

Hangar Building
Sewer and water lines are currently being upgraded.
Buildings 14/16 Breezeway (a.k.a. East Breezeway)
Handrails are scheduled to be added to the new concrete walkway
on the north side of Building 16. Last month, the Span area was
trenched and necessary water, sewer and electric lines were added.
The concrete structural footing will be installed by the end
of November.
New Administration Building
Twenty-one construction bids were received on Nov. 12. The final
approved company will be known after review by the California
Construction Authority and approval by the OCFEC Board of Directors.
Parking Lots
Electrical boxes were installed underground in Lot I and in the
Family Fun Zone for RCS (Fairtime carnival company) to utilize
during Fair. These boxes replace the ones currently located above
ground, freeing up space in the carnival and the parking lots.
Miscellaneous: Handrails and a sloped walkway were added to
the north side of Building 15, providing a safer entrance for
handicapped users. |

Ground has been broken and excavation and replacement of sewer
and water lines are moving forward.
Buildings 14/16 Breezeway (a.k.a. East Breezeway)
A new concrete walkway was poured on the north end of Building
16 to mirror the existing walkway outside Building 10. The soil
between the buildings is being excavated to provide a solid base
for new construction. A staff committee is addressing the need
to create a temporary façade to accommodate events using
the buildings before th¬e project is fully completed.
Corporation Yard
A new steel canopy has been installed west of the relocated Building
17.
New Administration Building
Bids will be received this month and the grounds for the new location
are being prepped for installation of necessary utilities. The
trailers that formerly housed Cooperative Extension have been
removed. |

Customized tarping covering
fencing around construction sites is used for safety and promotion.

The site, which formerly housed Building 17, has been completely
cleared. The new exhibit hall is slated to break ground in
October.

Pacific Amphitheatre
Several backstage improvements were completed in time for the 2008
summer concert series. New permanent production offices were built as
well as a commercial kitchen backstage. A hang bay was constructed to
allow for large video screen displays. Upgrades were made to bring the
venue to ADA compliancy with railings added to walkways and a new elevator.
