SUPER PASS TO SUPER FUN (NEW IN 2009)

Be one of the first people to own the first-ever OC Fair season pass, Super Pass. Pre-sale prices are $15-$25 until June 28. Each pass includes:

*Admission for the pass holder each day of the 2009 OC Super Fair
*Express lane access into the Fair and the new “Al’s Brain” attraction

There is no limit on the number of Super Passes one person can purchase. Each pass must have the full name provided of each pass holder at the time of purchase. Adults will be required to show a valid ID matching the name on the Pass when entering the Fair.

DAILY CONTESTS CHALLENGE SPEED, HUNGRY AND TALENT

For all those competitive spirts, young and old, the 2009 OC Super Fair has a variety of fun and friendly contests to show what they've got:

Fun Zone Stage Single-Day Contests for Children

BIG.BAKING. July 15, Wednesday
Lil' cookie monsters will show who can decorate the best cookie or create the best tasting cookie and who's just got the best cookie.
Check-in: Noon-2 p.m. Judging at 2:15 p.m.

RECYCLE. BIG. July 16, Thursday
One person's trash can become another person's artwork. Lil' earth-friendly artisans can show who's the most creative and who can recycle old stuff into beautiful art.
Check-in: Noon-2 p.m. Judging at 2:15 p.m.

BRAIN FOOD July 22, Wednesday
Do you know what you are eating? Lil' brainiacs can show who knows what's the best tasting and the best looking food to feed your cranium.
Check-in: Noon-2 p.m. Judging at 2:15 p.m.

BIG. HAIR DAY July 23, Thursday
It's a hair-raising day at the Fair with the littlest heads showing off the biggest hair, afro and mohawk.
Check-in: Noon-2 p.m. Judging at 2:15 p.m.

BIG. HAT DAY August 6, Thursday
Like to cover your dome? Compete for the biggest homemade, western, or patriotic hat or go for the big prize: the BIGgest Hat of All.
Check-in: Noon-2 p.m. Judging at 2:15 p.m.

Strut your stuff in these two fun children's parades:
SUPER HEROES July 29, Wednesday
Dress-up as your favorite super hero and join other little super heroes in a parade through the Fun Zone. Check-in: Noon-2 p.m. Parade is at 2:15 p.m.

WEAR YOUR ART July 30, Wednesday
Do you like to wear your art? Little fashion designers are invited to don their wearable art on t-shirts, shoes, hats, jeans, ot whatever shows that you "Think. Big." Check-in: Noon-2 p.m. Parade is at 2:15 p.m.

Got tricks? Show your stuff at this special one-day contest:
FUTURE MAGICIANS CONTEST
Hat tricks, disappearing acts and more from the tiniest magicians. Open to magical fairgoers ages 7-18. Limited to a 10-minute performance. Pre-register by calling (714) 708-1519 from July 29-31. Leave voicemail with magician's name, age and daytime phone number. Check-in starts at 10:30 a.m. Contest begins at 11 a.m.

Fun Zone Stage Single-Day Contests for Everyone

Do you like to eat Fair food? Show everyone how fast you can eat some of the favorite Fair foods in this nightly contest.

Senior Contests

Who says seniors ain't got it? All fairgoers 60 and older can sign-up for these popular annual contests:

SENIOR HAT CONTEST July 17, Friday, 1:30 p.m. Main Mall Stage
Who's got the best hat at the Fair? Winners will be awarded for the Best All Around, Funniest, Smallest, Biggest, Best Fair Theme ("Think. Big."), Patriotic, Most Colorful and Prettiest. Contestants can pre-register at 1 p.m. at the Main Mall Stage.

GOLDEN WEDDING CEREMONY July 24, Friday, 1:30 p.m. Main Mall Stage
Couples married 50 years or longer can renew their vows at the Fair with a sparkling cider toast, wedding cake and a sweethearts' dance. Limited to 25 couples. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at Main Mall Stage.

SENIOR BIG BRAIN TOSS July 31, Friday, 1:30 p.m. Main Mall Stage
Contestants have three tries to show that they've got the best throwing arm. Ribbons are awarded for first, second and third place to the top senior men and women. Limited to 15 contestants. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at the stage.

SENIOR SUPER BOWLING August 7, Friday, 1:30 p.m. Main Mall Stage
Bowl down the competition in three tries and you receive a prize ribbon. Top senior men and women will be awarded for first, second and third place. Limited to 15 contestants. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at Main Mall Stage.

Fridays are Senior Days at the Fair! Guests 60 and older receive discount Fair admission of $4 and free Ferris wheel and merry-go-round rides all day!

Check out these special days during the 2009 OC Super Fair when you can save a buck and enjoy a day at the Fair:

Opening Hour, July 10, Noon- 1 p.m.
Free admission and parking the first hour of the 2009 Fair.

Salute to SoCal Heroes, July 10, 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
Free admission for active duty military, law enforcement and firefighters with I.D., plus one guest.

Kids Days, Thursdays, all day
July 16, 23, 30 and August 6
Free admission for all fairgoers 12 and younger.

Senior Days, Fridays, all day
July 10, 17. 24, 31 and August 7
Discount admission of $4 for all guests 60 and older. Free Ferris wheel and merry-go-round rides.

"We Care" Wednesdays
Receive free admission and a carnival ride per person with the requested donation on the specified day.

Food Drive, July 15, Noon-6 p.m.

Toy Drive, July 29, Noon-6 p.m.
One new toy valued at $8 or more. Benefits Share Our Selves (SOS).
School Supply Drive, August 5, Noon-6 p.m.
One school item valued at $5 or more. Benefits Orange County public schools through Rotary Club International.

FAIRGOERS ARE INVITED TO RUN, WALK, SKIP THROUGH THE FAIR

OC Super Fair 5K eventsEarn that giant turkey leg or extra special strawberries and cream topping on your funnel cake and sign-up for the first OC Fair 5K events. The OC Super Fair is teaming up with the OC Marathon to offer two 5K events to open and close this year's Fair on July 12 and August 9. Both events start before the Fair opens for the day and include free Fair admission for that day.
