It is an exciting time for the OC Fair Board of Directors. 2008 will be a time of transition for the property and the annual OC Fair. The challenge for staff is to continually re-imagine the annual Fair while maintaining the tradition and history that make this event a community experience like none other.

We worked hard in 2007 to examine land-use during the Fair and staff made many changes to the flow of the Fair, which, with over a million guests, demonstrated that our customers appreciated the changes. The next two years will be just as inventive as 2007, with changes to some of the buildings, arrangement of vendors, programming, and the continued revitalization of the Main Mall and the Grandstand Arena.

The annual Fair must serve as both a custodian of tradition and a reflection of the community as it grows and evolves, and the Board of Directors and the staff of the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center cherish this responsibility. During these next few years, staff will be sensitive to guest reaction to these changes and we hope you find them as exciting as we do.
