The annual OC Fair is always a special time, but the 2008 OC Fair is even more special in the sense that this is the last year that we will work under the dynamic leadership of CEO Becky Bailey-Findley. In her 15 years as CEO, and a lifetime as part of the Fair family, Becky has almost
become synonymous with the OC Fair and all of its success.

Under her leadership, the Fair has expanded from 17 to 21 days, has worked
towards revitalizing the property with the upcoming Master Plan capital improvements, and has continued to broaden our community outreach by expanding agricultural education through Centennial Farm and The Ranch After-School Program.

As a fitting send-off, the 2008 OC Fair looks to be another milestone in a history of milestones. The thrilling programming in the Action Sports Arena, along with the Lexus Summer Concert Series, continues to raise the bar of what can be expected from a county Fair. This is in addition to all of the wonderful carnival rides, exhibits, including the Flash & Focus Gallery and the OC Cheese A-Fair, games, shopping, and, of course, the food.

I speak on behalf of all of the members of the OC Fair Board of Directors when I say it has been a pleasure to work with Becky, and, while she leaves the Fair in the capable hands of Steve Beazley, she will be sorely missed. We hope to expand upon her legacy and make her proud of an organization that is a testament to her leadership.

So, "Say Cheese!" and let Becky know you love the OC Fair.
