Safety
Every effort is made to ensure that each ride is completely
safe. No ride is allowed to open until it has received the California
Ride Permit from the Cal-OSHA Ride Inspection Unit. New rides
must have a California Registered Engineer's inspection and
be signed off on a Certified Stress Analysis. The Orange County
Fair hires a safety consulting firm, Coulter and Associates
of Delaware, Ohio, to oversee ride assembly and be on the midway
every day of the Fair, from opening to closing.
Midways
There are two midways-a Kiddie Carnival for
tots and young children is located in Family Fair Way near the Youth-In-Motion Gallery, and the Main Midway for adults and older children is off
Midway Ave. and Country Lane.
