OC FAIR & EVENT CENTER DECEMBER EVENTS GO TO THE DOGS
The Shoreline Dog Fanciers Association All-Breed Dog Show (Dec. 5-6) and the Malibu Kennel Club All-Breed Dog Show (Dec. 7-8) will each be a dog exhibition, show and competition with public education and number of vendors. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Monday. Admission is free.

GIANT PAINTBALL PARK RETURNS WITH COLORFUL FUN TO THE OC FAIR & EVENT CENTER IN NOVEMBER
The OC Fair & Event Center will be a colorful place Nov. 8 with the return of the Giant Paintball Park, where visitors can suit up and unleash colorful mayhem in the Grandstand Arena. Admission and equipment rentals vary, check ocfair.com for pricing. General public hours are Friday, 4 p.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The park is available Monday-Thursday for private parties.

KIDSFAIRE BRINGS FAMILY FUN FOR 2008 OCTOBER EVENTS AT THE OC FAIR & EVENT CENTER
Children and their families are invited to attend the annual Kidsfaire—America’s Family Expo on Oct. 4-5. With educational and entertaining activities, exhibits and shows, it’ll be a weekend of fun for all members of the family. Hours are 10 a.m.-5p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children (2-12.)

OC FAIR & EVENT CENTER TO EXTEND 2009 OC FAIR DATES
At the OC Fair & Event Center’s (OCFEC) Sept. 25 meeting, the OCFEC Board of Directors approved the staff proposal to expand the annual OC Fair from 21 days to 23 beginning in 2009. The Fair will run Wednesday – Sunday, July 10-August 9.

Steven Beazley, who was recently named CEO of the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC), officially takes the reins from long-time CEO Becky Bailey-Findley, effective September 1, 2008. Previously, Steve held the Senior Vice President at OCFEC.

PICTURE PERFECT 2008 OC FAIR SETS SECOND HIGHEST ATTENDANCE RECORD
The 2008 OC Fair ended on a picture perfect note as 1,062,673 guests visited the annual Fair, setting the second highest attendance record in the Fair’s 116 years. The attendance record of 1,090,653 was set in 2007.

CENTENNIAL FARM NOW ACCEPTING TOUR APPLICATIONS FOR 2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR
Centennial Farm at the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) is now accepting applications for the 2008/2009 school year for free guided tours and self-guided days. Educators are encouraged to apply early as space is limited and available dates fill up quickly. Guided tours are intended for kindergarten through third grade groups and self-guided days are reserved for pre-school and specialty groups.
